Following Governor Inslee’s press conference yesterday, he invited the Washington Tribes to join him on a working session. During that call Governor Inslee explained his commitment to working with these sovereign Tribal Governments, and was hoping to consult with them on best practices to work together on this health crisis. He made it clear that he does not expect casinos to close; rather, his focus was on concerts, sporting events, and other events of that nature.
After consulting with our Suquamish Tribal Government, we’ve made the decision to reschedule or cancel all such events of 250 people or more through April 1, 2020.
