About a week ago The Oklahoman, with assistance from the Oklahoma Restaurant Association, began to compile a list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving.

byDave CatheyWe didn't have room to get the updated list into print this morning, so here it is online. We will continue to update the list as long as information comes our way. Just got some updated info on what's going on at R&J Lounge and Supper Club, and all I can say is 'Bumpasses!'
As always, reserve your spots in advance to ensure service, and if you're ever going to reach deep for a big gratuity, keep in mind the folks cooking and serving you Thanksgiving dinner are doing so at the expense of their own families. Yes, they are making money on behalf of those same folks, but it's a sacrifice that deserves as much compensation as you can muster.
As usual, many cafeterias and 24-hour chain diners are open for some amount of time Thanksgiving. Restaurants at full-service hotels will be open, and many bars will open in the evening for those driven to drink by spending a day with family.
